Magnetic treatment of seeds prior to sowing increased [pod yield, plant height, number of branches, haulm weight and leaflet weight of groundnut grown in pots. Influence of electromagnet was greater than permanent magnet treatment. Under field conditions germination, fresh weight, dry matter, seedling height and vigour index were higher in treated seeds. No differences were observed due to the treatments on the physiological parameters recorded at harvest. Oil content was not affected by magnetic treatments in either experiments.
