Varietal variability in photosynthesis, photorespiration and productivity in rice

Varietal variability in photosynthetic rate (Pn) and photorespiration (PR) in dry and wet seasons was observed. In dry season the photorespiration was two times that of wet season. The Pn values of either wet season or dry season were found positively correlated. There was no correlation between Pn or PR with yield.
