Foliage pruning of the tall statured Basmati-370 rice at 40 cm plant height, 45 days after transplanting and at 60–70 cm plant height, 55 days after transplanting caused a reduction up to 20 cm in plant height and relative check on lodging. Crop yield was more by 0.8 t/ha as compared to untreated controls.
