Abstract

Screening of Sorghum (CSH-6) using electron spin resonance and biochemical techniques was taken up to observe the trends in ascorbic acid levels and free radical contents during reproductive differentiation. Ascorbic acid metabolism and free radical content remained high and this increase in free radical content may be the consequence of increased metabolic activity of shoot apex at reproductive differentiation.
