Effect of a calmodulin blocker on the GA₃ - induced germination in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)

Effect of Chlorpromazine on GA₃-induced germination was studied in chickpea. Chlorpromazme, as an antagonist, inhibited germination which was not reversed by GA₃. GA₃ when used alone was able to promote germination. Studies indicated the possibility of calmoduline involvement.
