Abstract

Phenolic acids were isolated from D. esculanlum, C. denlota and M. minuta and identified by applying the modified ‘reverse phase high pressure liquid chromatography’. Protocatechuic acid was present in all the three ferns. Syringic acid was present as major component in D. esculanlum, caffeic acid in C. dentata and M. minuta. P-coumaric acid in C. dentata and M. minuta and vanillic acid and ferullic acid in M. minuta were also identified.
