Abstract

The partitioning of nitrogen in plant parts of pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan L.) cultivate, H-77-216 (indeterminate) and ICPL-151 (determinate) was studied under decreasing soil water potential (ψw) and on rewatering. The partitioning of nitrogen was dependent on the growth habit sensitiveness to nitrogen ixation and differences in leaf water potential (ψL) of the cultivars, which was significantly influenced by drought.
