Abstract

In a study conducted with Vigna unguiculata under field condition, it was observed that nodule number and its dry weight inceased upto 50 days after germination (BAG) and later on followed a decline due to senescing nodules. The maximum total soluble protein and leghaemoglobin content in the nodule was recorded at 40 to 45 DAG.
