In lowland submerged condition, under high pH, zinc deficiency limits growth of rice. Latent or hidden deficiency due to Cu and toxicity of Fe (1335 - 1990 ppm) are additional factors for poor growth of rice during Aus season (March-July) in Bangladesh.
