Abstract

Correlations between proline content at maximum water-stress, nitrate reductase (NR) stability and recovery percentage, total chlorophyll stability percentage and injury index were studied in eighteen soybean (Glycine max L. (Merr.)) genotypes. NR stability and recovery percentage and chlorophyll stability percentage showed highly significant negative correlation with proline accumulation. However, the correlation between injury index and proline accumulation was positive and significant.
