Abstract

Plants of pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan), cv. H-77-216, were raised in earthen pots under green house conditions. One set each of unsprayed, water sprayed and cycocel treated plants were subjected to moderate and severe stress. Cycocel treated plants showed better recovery on reirrigation than unsprayed and water sprayed plants. Cycocel 0.64 mM proved better for carbon exchange and stomatal conductance while higher concentration of 3.20 mM responded well for RWC (%) and chlorophyll.
