The changes in dry matter accumulation in roof, stem, leaf and whole plant increased with an increase in crop age. Variety J11 and GAUG1 established numerical superiority over GG 2 and Girnar 1. It was observed that the dry matter accumulation and its partition, occured at faster rate in cv. GG2, thereby promoting higher yield.
