Abstract

Studies conducted with 18 genotypes on association of different morpho-physiological characters with drought tolerant capacity of soybean revealed that injury (%), leaf area and total dry matter increase seemed to be correlated with drought tolerance in soybean. These characters can be made use of while selecting soybean genotypes for drought tolerance. Among the 18 genotypes, VHC 3068 was found to be the most drought tolerant, followed by Himso 352, JS 79–411 and PK 442.
