Abstract

Uptake of N and S and dry matter accumulation at successive stages of growth in two linseed cultivars Gaurav and Garima were studied at 0,40 and 80 kg N/ha and 0,20 and 40 kg S/ha application in field experiments over a period of two years (1988–89 and 1989–90). Increasing levels of N and S (individually) increased the N and S uptake throughout Highest amount of N and S was taken by Gaurav. Interaction was not found significant except NxV and SxV interaction. Both the cultivars accumulated highest dry matter at 120 DAS and the highest being in Gaurav at all growth stages.
