Growth and Yield Response of Eight Sweet Potato Lines

Growth and yield potential of eight sweet potato lines along with two checks were studied. The leaf area index increased gradually upto 90 days and found maximum in variety 85–16. The crop growth rate was maximum at 60 DAP in varieties 85–19, 85–168 and 85–70. Tuber bulking rate was observed maximum in 85–16, 85–70, 85–19, 85-2, 85–168 and local. Variability in these physiological parameters appeared to be related to growth and yield in these genotypes.
