Abstract

The effect of different Fe++ supplying sources viz. FeSO4.7H2O, Fe-D TPA and Fe-citrate @ 0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0% concentration as foliar sprays on peach rootstock seedlings cv. Sharbati were studied in nursery conditions. FeSO4.7H2O and Fe-D TPA sprays at 0.2% concentration were better than Fe-citrate and equally effective in influencing iron chlorosis, plant growth characteristics, foliar iron and chlorophyll content in seedlings. The spray concentrations from 0.6% onward caused phytotoxicity and subsequent mortality of seedlings at 0.8 and 1.0% application.
