Lipase activity and fat content were studied in germinating solar radiated cotton seed (Gossypium hirsutism L.). The study revealed that there was enhancement in lipase activtiy under the influence of pulsed concentrated solar radiation. The increase in lipase activity was found associated with the depletion of fat in the germinating seeds.
