A field experiment was conducted in a randomized block design to study the biomass production in summer moong under various mulching treatments viz., straw mulch @ 5 t/h (T1), Black polythene mulch (T2), white polythene mulch (T3), Stress irrigation+straw mulch @ 5 t/h (T4) and the control (T5). The maximum leaf area index and dry matter accumulation were recorded in T2 treatment. The values on yield and yield attributes were higher in T2 treatment and lower in T4 treatment.
