The effect of low light intensity (50 per cent of normal light) at 40 days after transplanting till maturity stage was studied in field condition to assess the physiological attributes contributing grain yield. The adverse effect of low light intensity was observed in the proportion of high density grains, potential thousand grain weight, spikelet number and economic yield.
