Leaf type, position and period for measurement of photosynthesis rate (PN) in mango canopy (Mangifera indica L.) was examined. It was found that fully matured middle leaf of the twig had higher rate of photosynthesis between 10–11 a.m. of the day in winter season which is considered to be the active period for flowering and fruit setting.
