Abstract

Soil application of cement exhausts to start with, increased both the pH and EC values of the soil but did not interfere with seed germination and seeding growth. In fact, the seedling growth was promoted, as the dust contained many of the elements essential for plant growth. The pH and EC values of the rhizosphere soil got reduced as the plants grew. Addition of the ESP dust evidently promoted both the above-ground and underground biomass.
