Effects of sulphur on growth, metabolism and yield of Indian mustard were studied in sand culture. Application of sulphur @ 16 to 128 ppm increased leaf number, leaf area, number of branches and siliquae per plant, while at 256 ppm there was no change, and 512 ppm inhibited the branch and siliquae number. The rate of photosynthesis and seed yield followed the same trend.
