field experiment was conducted to standardize the dose and time of paclobutrazol application on tree canopy diameter basis for regular cropping in Alphonso mango. The trial was conducted over three years from 1995 to 1998 on 25 year old Alphonso mango trees. The different doses of paclobutrazol PP333 0.75 and 1.25 g.a.i. per metre i.e. (cultar 3 ml and 5 ml per metre) on crown diameter basis through soil drenching was applied at 60 days before bud break (15 September), 90 days before bud break (15 August) and 120 days before bud break (15 July). The application of paclobutrazol @ 0.75 g/metre as well as 1.25 g/metre on crown diameter basis applied during 90 days before bud break and 120 days before bud break, significantly increased flowering (68.48 to 80.60%) and fruit yield 92.82 to 117.87 kg/tree as compared to control 30.03 kg/tree.
