The effect of brassinosteroids on the activities of hydrolyzing and oxidizing enzymes of groundnut was studied. Brassinosteroids substantially increased catalase activity. Brassinosteroid-treatment resulted in lowered peroxidase, polyphenol oxidase and IAA-oxidase. Brassinosteroids also accounted for reduced protease and RNase activity.
