Abstract

An attempt was made to study the growth response of rice variety Pusa 834 to increased CO2 concentration using open top chambers. Study revealed that elevated CO2 increased the biomass in plant parts. The increase was greater in roots compared to shoots. The increase in yield was attributed more to grain number compared to grain weight.
