Effect of Azospirillum Biofertilizer on Seedling Growth and Seed Germination of Embl1Ca Officinalis

Abstract

Seeds treated with Azospirillum - biofertilizer slurry for 24 hours increased germination of Emblica officinalis (Aonla) to 79% as against 50% in control. This treatment not only increased shoot height of four week old seedlings to 4.5 cm but also root length to 5.3 cm against 2.4 cm each in control. The total length of seedling was almost double as compared to control.
