Abstract

Four cultivars of rice, Pusa 2–21, Saket-4 (tolerant group) and Kamini and Sugandha (susceptible group) when germinated under salt stress. The activities of amylase and peroxidase were higher in tolerant cultivars than in susceptible ones, but protease activity was lower in tolerant than susceptible cultivars.
