In sunflower genotypes the seed stuctures associated with dormancy are peri carp and seed coat. The constraints for seed germination are located initially in peri carp. The developmental stage associated with dormancy is 21 DAA (days after anthesis). Ethephon treatments @ 250 ppm enhanced seed germination.
