Abstract

Allelopathic effects of Parthenium hysterophorus, Datura strammonium and Blumea lacera on germination of soybean (Glycine max var. Gaurav) were investigated. Aqueous extracts of root, stem, leaf and stem + leaf of these weeds were applied on soybean seeds. The extracts of different parts produced significant effects on germination of soybean. Blumea and Parthenium stem extracts and Datura root extract produced maximum and minimum germination, respectively.
