Whole plants were regenerated from in vitro cultured root segments of two genotypes of Actinidia deliciosa cv. Alison and Hayward on MS (Murashige and Skoog) medium supplemented with 2 mg l−1 benzylaminopurine (BAP) and 0.1 mg l−1 indole butyric acid (IBA). The cultivar Hayward was more reactive in shoot regeneration indicating that organogenetic response of the explants varied with the genotype.
