A pot experiment was conducted to find out the allelopathic effect of Ageratina adenophora plant litter collected at different stages on the survival and growth of Lantana camara cuttings. Results showed that survival, number of leaves/branch and root length of lantana cutting were highly suppressed with A. adenophora plant litter. The inhibition was maximum with litter collected at post-flowering stage followed by pre-flowering and then flowering stages.
