Abstract

Seed of three blackgram genotypes viz. LBG 645, PBGl and WBG 26 were subjcted to etheral seed treatment under moisture stress. Etheral counteracted the adverse effects of water stress on seed germination, seedling growth and vigour index. LBG 645 was found to be more tolerant to low water stress (−0.6 MPa) as compared to other cultivars at early stages of plant development.
