Abstract

Size of droplets sprayed from an agricultural sprayer play a prominent role in the control of crop pests and diseases. The influence of surface tension of pesticides, speed of blower, flow rate through nozzle on droplet size and the distribution of droplets were studied with some selected sprayers. The mathematical relationship between surface tension of pesticides, speed of blower and flow rate through nozzle with droplet size and droplet density per unit area of deposition were determined.
