Twenty one cultivars of Jujube (Zizyphus mauritiana Lamk.) were screened against the blight caused by Alternaria alternata during 1981 and 1982. Seven fungicides viz, carbendazim, triadi-mefon, zineb, copper oxychloride, IBP, fenfuram and carboxin were evaluated in vitro and in field. Carbendazim, zineb and carboxin were found superior with lowest EDSO and ED9S. In the field one spray of carbendazim or zineb (0.2%) were found effective in reducing disease incidence.
