Host preference of six spotted lady bird beetle, Menochilus sexmaculatus (Fabr.) was studied in the laboratory with bean, cotton, mustard and safllower aphids. It was found that first instar grub had no particular choice of any species. The second instar preferred bean over cotton, safllower and mustard aphid. Third and fourth instars preferred bean and cotton while adults preferred bean, cotton and safllower aphids. Mustard aphid was least preferred.
