In 1979.80 and 1980.81, the cabbage aphid, Brevicoryne brassicae (L.) in Himachal Pradesh at Solan reached peak numbers on the cauliflower seed crop at 688 degree-days (SOC base) after first detection on the crop. Heavy rainfall, wind and frost beside other biotic agents during February. March 1981 drastically reduced the aphid population.
