Abstract

Laboratory bioassay of spray formulations of eight insecticides was made to study their selectivity against adults of Brevicoryne brassicae L. and its coccinellid predator, Coccinella repanda Th. Methyl-O-demeton proved to be the safest of all the insecticides tested for the coccinellid, while being most toxic to the aphid, followed by diazinon and endosulfan in descending order of selectivity.
