Abstract

Tho biological efficacy of quinalphos at 0.03 and 0.05 per cent was observed for a week against the pest complex of brinjal. The residues estimated biologically, could not be detected beyond 9 days, though the chemical estimates detected the residues below the tolerance limit after 14 days on fruits and after 40 days on leaves. Defferent formulations of carbaryl were not effect-tive against aphids, while carbaryl wettable powder spray was effective against jassids and borer and the residues persisted for about a week above the toleranee level.
