Abstract

Anthracnose and leaf blight are major diseases in mango orchards of Saurashtra region of Gujarat. A field trial conducted from 1980 to 1983 with various spray schedules at different stages of the crop growth revealed that spraying with copper oxychloride 0.2% + Zineb 0.2% after completion of heavy showers followed by wettable-sulphur 0.2% before flowering, carben-dazim 0.03% at pea size fruit formation stage and zineb 0.2% before maturation of stone reduced the incidence of both the diseases and the cost benifit ratio was in the order of 1: 2.19.
