All the nine fungicides tested reduced the intensity of rust on groundnut. However, disease intensity was minimum in plots treated with chlorothalonil 0.15 per cent followed by tridemorph 0.04 per cent and mancozeb 0.2 per cent. The yield of pods and fodder was also in the same order. The cost: benefit ratio of the effective and available fungicides - tridemorph and mancozeh was 1:7.7 and 1:6.4. respectively.
