Abstract

During the kharif seasons of 1982 to 1984 experiments were conducted at Parbhani (Maharashtra State) to evaluate the bioefficacy of cypermethrin at 0.005, 0.010 and 0.015 percent doses compared with carbaryl and endosu1fan. Pooled analysis of the data revealed that cypermethrin at the highest dose was the most effective but was at par with its lowest dose (0.005%). Based on cost:benefit analysis, cypermethrin 0.010 per cent could be recommended for the control of bollworms in cotton.
