The turcicum leaf bliaht of maize Exserohilum turcicum (Pass.) Leonard and Suggs can effectively be controlled by six sprays of Dithane M-45 (0.2% ai.) at 10 days interval after 30 days of sowin&. It si&nificantly reduced the apparent infection rate.. severity rating and increased the grain yield under field conditions. Four sprays were most economical. The mean loss in grain yield due to this disease was 24.49 per cent.
