Abstract

Whitefly, Bemisia tabaci Genn., a serious pest of cotton, is distributed in almost all cotton growing regions of the world. This article reviews the work on its dis-tribution, biology and development, population build up, nature of damage, yield losses, distribution patterns, field monitoring, host range, and the role of crop hus-bandry practices, host plant resistance, associated natural enemies, and insecticides in integrated management.
