Abstract

A sequential sampling plan was developed for larvae of Anligaslra Catalau-nalis (Dup.) on sesame during active growth of crop, i.e., 32 days after sowing (DAS) to 77 DAS after ascertaining the distribution pattern (negative binomial) with the help of economic injury level (EIL). The operating characteristic curve (OC) and average sample number (ASN) curves suggested that the sequential sampling plan thus formula-lated was effective in saving the pest control costs.
