Two spray schedule, first just at the appearance of the pest (37 days after sowing) and second after 21 days of first treatment (58 days after sowing) recorded significantly less semilooper population (zero), damaged leaves (10.50–12.01%), damaged tunnel length by stemfly (14.24–15.17%) and unfilled pods (1.13–13.95%) and also gave maximum grain yield (17.29 qlna) and net profit (Rs. 629.00/ha) over control. The next best spray schedule was one treatment, just at the appearance of the pest i.e. 37 days after sowing. Two spray treatment recorded maximum Increase in grain yield (3.43 q/ha), followed by one spray at 37 days after sowing (2.61 q/ha).
