Abstract

Among the various schedules tested, the schedules involving three applications of either monocrotophos at 0.5 Kg a.i./ha. commencing 15 days after sowing or a single application of phorate 10G @ 1.5 kg a.i./ha before sowing offered effective control of stem fly infesting soybean. The waiting period of about 87 and 18 days was found safe irrespective of dosages of phorate and monocrotophos respectively to harvest green pods of soybean. However, the residues reached to a level on soybean at the time of harvest.
