Abstract

Nine insecticide spray schedules were evaluated against aphids, jassids and fruit borers of bhendi in kharif and rabi seasons of 1989–90 at the Agricultural College farm, Bapatla (Andhra Pradesh). The results indicated that endosulfan (0.07%) spray (4 rounds in kharif) or endosulfan alternated with carbaryl (0.15%) spray (6 rounds) in rabi was most effective against all the pests. Spraying neem products alone 4 to 6 times did not provide adequate control of the pest. Among the neem products, neemark and neem oil were superior to repelin or biosol against bhendi pests.
