Abstract

The economic injury levels of soybean leaf folders, Nacoleia vulgalis Guen. and N. diemenalis Guen. were studjed for 3 years at the ICAR ResearC'h Complex Farm, Barapani, 962 m amsl. Endosulfan (0.01 to 0.2%) was sprayed thrice on one month old crop to create differential levels of infestation. The economic injury level (EIL) was calculated in relation to the recommended dosage of endosulfap (0.1%) and the market value of grain (range Rs. 450–500/q). The economic injury level was 8–9 leaf folds/plant. Soybean yields decreased with increase in the incidence of leaf folders on soybean.
