Abstract

Field evaluation of chemicals and effective time of application for the control of Her fruit fly Carpomiaya vesuviana Costa (Tephritidae: Diptera): revealed that Dichlorvos 0.1% followed by monocrotophos 0.036%, malathion 0.05% and phosalone 0.07% sprayed twice, at pea-stage of fruits and a second spray 15 days later were significantly superior in reducing the fruit fly incidence and recorded low number of maggots in the fruits
