Efficacy of some newly developed fungicides was tested against white rust of mustard as seed treatment, foliar spray and seed treatment + foliar spray. A higher dose i.e. 8 gikg metalaxyl (Apron 35 SO) or 50ml/kg of metalaxyl ZM (Ridomil ZM) was necessary for complete control of white rust. The effect of these chemicals in seedlings persisted for 30 days. Metalaxyl ZM 280 FW as seed treatment (8 g/kg seed) combined with two foliar sparys @ 6 ml/l at 2.6 and 4.1 growth stages gav,e 93.5 per cent disease control with an increase of 12.5% in yield.
